A boy sleeps while he is supposed to be studying for his scuba diving license.
Love the parallel lines, the order amidst the chaos of a construction site
How exciting is that? The Montreal Canadians were not supposed to even be in the playoffs, and here they are in a Game Seven against the best team in the league. Just goes to show how much passion and want play in overcoming challenges. And so it goes with me. I have to use these [...]
Wake up, wash, dress, breakfast, work, coffee, meeting, lunch, run, meeting, coffee, meeting, meeting, home, cook, eat, TV, sleep. Tired just writing that. My journey started in September as you all know. Dr. Hedley was very reassuring even then, or should that be specially then. He warned us of what was to come in gentle [...]
Date: March 2009 Location: Broadview Avenue, south of Gerrard Story: This picture was taken in the courtyard at a Salvation Army outlet. It looked desolate and hardly inviting. Not surprisingly, no one was sitting on it. The centre is up for demolition at the moment. The bench has been removed.
This post started innocently enough and morphed into quite something else. Our country lacks vision. Our politicians lack gumption. They are elected for four year terms and cannot see their way past that constrained time-line. Vision is what created universal health care, and old age pension and a host of other programs. We stayed in various hotels along the way. I took a lot of pictures. This picture that makes me a bit sad. I watched the father of the [...]
Cancer is a strange condition to find yourself in. I have written about this before. People react as if you are dead already. They are then quick to tell you about their aunt’s best friend from high school who was given two months and lived for twenty years. 11.5 million people died from cancer worldwide [...]
This has been a busy week. Met with the surgeon yesterday. She is still very happy with the rate of progress. No talk of reconnecting the rectum to the colon yet. She is leaving the Toronto General Hospital and going across the street to join Mount Sinai Hospital. She is taking her patients with her. [...]
I stood in front of the lane decided on the picture I was seeing. These two ladies to my left were in deep conversation. These three girls were playing around in and out of the lane. I kept looking through the camera at the space waiting for an opportunity when the firsl would be out of the line of sight.
As with so many pictures, this picture came together when they decided to pose for me.
This is one of my all time favourites. You will get tired of hearing that. Those are the only pictures I display.
