Story: As you know by now, our family took a leisurely drive down Highway 1 from San Francisco to San Diego. A very pleasant trip, highly recommended.
We stayed in various hotels along the way. I took a lot of pictures. This is one of the pictures that makes me a bit sad. I watched the father of the girl attempt to get this moment. The point and shoot cameras have a nasty tendency of lagging before deciding what they do for a living. The result is often that you get a picture once the moment as passed. I became quite good at compensating for this lag trying to predict the timing of events.
I got this picture on my first try. The sad part is that I failed to get the name and address of the family to share this pic.
I cannot imagine how cold she must have felt having being showered so often by a very cold ocean.
