How many different fabrics can you get in one picture. Reflecting windows, old structures, Chinese pavilions, tunnels, cars, it is all there.

This is a small park in downtown Toronto. I came across it one day quite by accident. Not that is out of the way or anything, just not a place you walk through with great regularity. I decided to take a few pictures. There was a steady stream of people going through. You have before you a young lady taking a break.

Went for a walk in the early morning hours, again. It amazes me how many time you attempt to take a picture and some passerby ruins it by walking in front of you at the last minute. It also amazes how you do not notice the disturbance until after you have taken the picture. I find, invariably, that the picture is improved by the unknown

Went for a walk in the early hours before the city woke up. That explains the lack of traffic and people. And the amazing light on the subject. You can also barely make out the sign to the Holland Tunnel which was just around the corner from our hotel.

Date: June 2008 Location: Toronto Who knew there was a ravine there. Well traveled as it turns out. I found it while trying to save some money on parking expenses. This part of the ravine is well groomed and looked after. Which makes the presence of graffiti even more surprising. There is lots of graffiti [...]

Date: March 2009 Location: Broadview Avenue, south of Gerrard Story: This picture was taken in the courtyard at a Salvation Army outlet. It looked desolate and hardly inviting. Not surprisingly, no one was sitting on it. The centre is up for demolition at the moment. The bench has been removed.
